Skiing and proptech might not seem like the most obvious combination, but PropSki once again proved why it’s one of the best industry events of the year. Between carving through fresh powder and après-ski catch-ups, the real estate world came together in a way that no conference room can match.

But beneath the stunning alpine backdrop, the long conversations on gondolas, and the cheese-filled dinners, one theme kept resurfacing: the way building information is managed (or mismanaged) is a universal problem, and it’s costing the industry time, money, and sanity.

We spoke with developers, asset managers, consultants, agents, and more. The frustration was the same across the board. Nobody has easy access to the right building information at the right time. One conversation on a chairlift summed it up perfectly: “It’s mad that in 2025, we still don’t have a standard way to store and access building information. Why is it still this hard?”

Each day started with coffee and grouping by ski ability before heading up the mountain, meaning you spent the day with a small group of peers, getting to know them in a relaxed, natural way. The Burns Lunch at ROC7, complete with a bagpiper, haggis, and whisky, was a standout moment. The ski back down afterwards? Let’s just say not everyone’s technique remained as polished as it was in the morning...
